Contact Mindi to perfect a college essay, resume, marketing materials, correspondence, or grant application. VISUAL ART: Artwork has been featured in solo shows at The Grove and The Tiny Gallery at Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, and has appeared in group shows at ECOCA in New Haven, "Side by Side" at Whitney Center in Hamden, "Women's Work" at Eastern Connecticut State University, and "Complicit: An Erasure of the Body" at the Yale Divinity School. She has worked for and participated in New Haven's Citywide Open Studios and was on the curatorial team at ECOCA for the "Our Bodies, Ourselves" show. Her book art is in the Haas Family Arts Library collection at Yale.
EDUCATION: Mindi received a B.F.A. from Hartford Art School, an M.A.L.S. from Wesleyan University, and her teaching certification from Yale University. She is a Kripalu-certified yoga teacher.

ENTREPRENEUR: Founder of The Single Mothers Discount Card, LLC. This social enterprise partners single mothers with businesses that offer the same discount they give to students and seniors. The SMDCard mission is to help level the playing field for single mothers, one purchase at a time.
TEACHING: Adjunct Professor of English at Gateway Community College in New Haven, CT and Yale tutor. Former Creative Writing teacher at Cooperative Arts & Humanities Magnet High School in New Haven for 21 years. In addition, Mindi has led a variety of workshops for both adults and teens at colleges, community centers, and other venues.

WRITING: Founding editor of Etcetera literary magazine and the author of twelve books of nonfiction for children, as well as poems, stories, essays, and academic publications. She was awarded a Vermont Studio Center Fellowship, is a SURDNA Grant recipient, and is a Teacher-Consultant for the Connecticut Writing Project. In addition, Mindi was a contributing writer for Our Red Book, The Feminist Utopia Project, and a co-writer for “The Lucretia Society,” a play that addresses sexual violence against women. She recently published her first novel, entitled "Stretch," which can be purchased on Amazon.
